ENFORCEMENT OF SOURCE OF INCOME ORDINANCES (TUCSON AND PHOENIX)
As of the date of this publication, the City of Tucson
is actively enforcing its Source of Income Protection Ordinance following a decision earlier this month by Attorney General Mayes that reversed a previous finding that the ordinance violated state law. Operators in Tucson should be modifying their policies and procedures to comply with this ordinance.
With regard to the City of Phoenix, the City has announced that it will start enforcing its Source of Income Protection Ordinance effective
April 6, 2023.
Please refer to previous Clark Bars in March that outline the ordinances’ rules and provide explanation as to how to handle the application process for those applicants who present vouchers.
